Whether it is small or large
wide or multilayer every parking lot and garage needs good lighting.
Yet it has been found that maximum garages tend to be poorly lit,
which makes it difficult to navigate, and cause eye strain during packing and moving
vehicles, which in worse case scenarios leaves you prone to falls and injuries.
LED illumination is good and necessary
solution for all parking levels to help drivers find their way into and out of
the underground parking passage and garages to stay in the realm of directional
lanes. Drive lanes normally appear to be narrow, making it drivers hard to back up
the vehicles out of parking spaces and causes hazards due to ongoing traffic.
LED overhead or wall lights serve this need best as the drivers can judge
distances from other vehicles easily and clearly. The lights are designed to
provide bright illumination without glare.
While
these structures may receive light during the day but they have access to use
at night as well; that is why they need abrupt installation. Lighting must be
sufficient for everyone using the vehicles and passing by the parking area.
Measure your garage to determine your true light output needs
According
to some Lighting authority which recommends 50 lumens per square foot in
residential garages and 300 lumens per square foot in the garage area. A good
rule of thumb is to go for 50 lumens per square foot in case of ambient
lighting, 300 lumens per square foot in areas that require task lighting, and a
moderate 75 lumens per square foot in case of accent lighting and vice versa.
Good
lighting also saves us from theft as the security cameras are usually placed in
very strategic places in parking lots. Good LED illumination also helps the
cameras to observe and often record vehicle and pedestrian movements. If the
camera was bought from a China LED garage light exporter, it would give
flawless coverage.
